Description
Filipe André Da Silva Mendes – Filipe De Merisi
“I am a seeker to endure in the Arts. My aim is to purvey color to this shaken, twisted world. I am inspired by immediate surroundings, curiosity, and daily artistic wanderings. As a result, I intend to bring bright paintings full of delicious ambiguity and vibrant energy to life. Compositions filled with personal and artistic flair, embellished by the spirit and soul, infused by the artist within.
I candidly love Art and the sheer process of creating because it fuels my desire at its core. It morphs me to touch people, to evoke in them wondering and dreamlike transformation.
In a collective display of emerging artists, I recently participated in the «Realism» Exhibition at The Holy Art Gallery in London.
Additionally, I´ve been selected to be featured in the upcoming Bruxelles Art Vue Power Of Color 2021 Book.
Currently, I´m displaying two paintings at the M.A.D.S. Art Gallery in both Milano and Fuerteventura under the theme «Sacrifice» in an International Art Exhibition.”
Filipe De Merisi is a seeker to endure in the Arts.
He creates a narrative, unconventional silhouettes, figure paintings, experimental landscapes, and backdrops that reflect his world experience.
He´s an old-fashioned advocate using primarily graphite pencils, charcoal, India inks, as well as oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and colored pencils to explore themes of nostalgia, loneliness, perseverance, liberalism deeply, and the golden bridge between the realm of dreams and reality. His paintings are inspired by immediate surroundings, curiosity, and daily artistic wanderings. His compositions are filled with both personal and artistic flare, embellished by his spirit and soul, infused by the artist within.
They aim to touch people and evoke a sense of wondering dream-like transformation.
Filipe De Merisi uses his Officialafrovenus art Persona to make the connections, to fill in the gaps, and in terms of substance to mirror the times and the looming challenges of this mundane, fast-paced world. He wants to belong to the Creative World, and to that end, he´s trying with every step he takes to reach a point where he´s deploying on his beloved paper his array of influences, whether the Old Masters or contemporary artists.
