“I found out that my grandpa is Jewish when I was 17. Born and raised in Siberia, Russia, completely cut from all the Jewish parts of the history of my family, I started to get into the details quickly.
Slowly, my family started to share the details and the family history story with me. The antisemitic bullying my mom went through when she was little, the fact that my grandpa had to change his father’s name because he had a Jewish one, suddenly, I learned that my family is much bigger than I knew – people in Europe, the USA, and Israel.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember; I have always had a passion for creation, art, painting, and the creative process. I tried all the possible media and made a lot of commissions, and before I moved to Israel in 2017, my favorites were oil and digital 2D.
During the past years, I realized I need more than 2D, whether traditional or digital. I sought to get out of limitations and physics, which is how I fell into 3D. The environment, the drastic changes in my life, the seasons, nostalgia, and many feelings made me do what I do now, and I am convinced that I wouldn’t reach this level of skills without moving.
I love the freedom, the limitless possibilities, and the complete denial of physics laws – no matter how crazy my idea is, I know that in 3D, everything is doable.
I aim to translate this thought to many people as possible; if it exists in your head, it is real. It doesn’t matter how crazy it sounds; it doesn’t matter what others say. If you have an idea. It means you can implement it; it doesn’t appear out of the blue.
I hope my works will make people believe a little more in themselves, in love, freedom, and possibilities. This world is huge and wonderful, but we have an even bigger one right in our hearts.”
